4 step guide on how to operate videography cameras to create quality content

1. Camera set up

Setting up the camera is of vital importance to make sure those final images are of the best quality possible. Every camera is different from a Sony A series to a Nikon Z. But often these formatting settings are easily accessible on the camera dash itself. The formatting settings include what quality your shooting in such as 1080p or 4k (recomended) and Aperture/light  exposure settings. Realising where you will be shooting and making sure the camera understands it. More advance cameras will have options and can automatically do it for you. However you can be more creative and set it manually! Finally file formating can be of use for the later stages of moving the media to another device.

2.

The BRILLIANT thing about modern day cameras is they have built in stabilisation features . Make the most of this, as you can help with the complication in the editing process, but this saves you that time and in total gives you that finer finish. Other ways to make your content pristine is use of a gimble however this is for a lot more advanced videographers so may be waste of recourse for yourself. If this is something you want to go for it doesn't just help with stabilisation you can also use it to create many other interesting and quirky shots!

3. Audio

I highly recommend getting an strobe mic for your camera. As having the built in mic is a great back up. But there is no point putting all the effort in of stages of 1 and 2 then having poor audio quality. As the majority of views fnd the content a bad experience if that is the case and it lowers the value of the video in total. We're not talking 100s of pounds even spending 30 will get you a decent mic to create the additional finish to an already perfect video!
